As a visionary and anomalous, Terry Todd has used his passion for writing, weight training and history to shape the Iron Game and its influence on people around the world. Terry was probably the most familiar face and respected mind in the force community. He was a former two-time national powerlifting champion (1964-65) who has extended his impact as a coach, writer / journalist, commentator, event director, educator, and historian. A student of strength for life; he believed that by learning from the greats of the past, we could recognize and inspire greatness in ourselves and in others. His unique ability to see potential, to connect people and history, and to tell the stories of others are part of his equation that has had a profound impact on people through sport and discipline. His wife and fellow strength icon Jan Todd (with whom Terry founded the HJ Lutcher Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports in Austin, TX), powerlifting greats Larry Pacifico and Bill Kazmaier, NBA star Lance Blanks and Olympic weightlifting champion and Strongman Mark Henry are just a few of the many great contemporaries who have been influenced by Terry’s vision. Released live on YouTube and The Index Wednesday, November 3 at 8:00 PM EST, The Commissioner of Power is the fourth documentary in a collection of films produced by Rogue Fitness. #ryourogue #dontweaken.
